Why are you here?

I have spent most of my career at big pharma industries, during which I’ve been increasingly craving a stronger sense of purpose. At Cellcolabs, I am exhilarated to not only be part of a company, but to be here from the beginning, and use my years of industrial experience to pioneer the stem cell field.

It is also encouraging that – despite being such a young company – we are surrounded by so much confidence and support.

What is your background?

I have worked with cell cultivation and production of biological pharmaceuticals since 2004 – first at AstraZeneca as a research scientist, and later at Octapharma, most recently as section head in the production unit, producing a recombinant protein sold worldwide. I have a MSc in Chemical Engineering from KTH in Stockholm.

Is there something else that we should know about you?

I played basketball in the Swedish top league and am nowadays coaching my daughter and her team. And if you ask me during the right time of day, I just might be able to recall 200 decimals of pi.
